Sarita graduated from the Dental Institute at Guys, Kings and St Thomas’ in 2007.
During her time at GKT Sarita also completed a BSc in Psychology related to Dental Science.
Since qualifying Sarita has continued and enjoyed treating patients in general dental practice.
Throughout this time she has completed her MJDF postgraduate Diploma
from the Royal College of Surgeons and her Postgraduate certificate in Restorative Dental Practice from the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute.
Sarita continues to further her knowledge by attending regular courses run by world- renowned clinicians and speakers.
She has also completed training in providing Orthocaps aligner treatment and anti-wrinkle and dermal filler treatment.
Sarita believes in creating a relaxed and calm environment for her patients, while maintaining a high standard of care.
In Sarita’s spare time she enjoys outdoor swimming, travelling, cake decorating and spending time with her young family.
Dr. Matthias Schmidt
(Dental Surgeon and Partner, Zahnarzt Bonn 2006, GDC 104922)
Matthias graduated at the highly competitive Rheinische Friedrich - Wilhelms - Universitaet Bonn (Germany) in 2006. He moved to England in the same year and started working as an associate dentist in Norfolk.
In 2007 he finished his PhD in Dental Phobia at the Rheinische Friedrich - Wilhelms - Universitaet Bonn (Germany). This has enabled him to create a friendly and calming atmosphere in the surgery which makes his patients more confident in attending dental visits.
In 2010 Matthias moved to South East London where he worked in a family orientated NHS and Private Dental Practice.
Over the last few years Matthias has attended several cosmetic, implant, restorative and orthodontic courses in London. He is certified by Orthocaps to provide adult orthodontics using clear invisible aligners.
He has joint "Partners in Practice" with Gallions Reach Dental Clinic in regards to implant dentistry. Matthias intends to develop a special interest in implant dentistry.
He is a member of Local Dental Committee (LDC) of Lambeth, Southwark & Lewisham. Matthias is also the LDC lead at the Southwark Council Healthy Weight Group.
In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym, playing football and golf. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his daughters.
Dr. Kaval Rekhi
(Dental Surgeon, BDS University of Birmingham 2020, GDC 290559)
Kaval completed her dental training at the University of Birmingham.
She moved to London for her vocational training, which included general dentistry as well as hospital-based training in King’s Dental Institute.
Kaval also contributed to neuroscience laboratory research during her BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science at King’s College London.
Kaval is keen to see what she can give back to the community through her training. She volunteered to work at a dental camp in north India targeting those unable to afford basic dental care otherwise.
She found this experience eye opening and rewarding.
She has a keen interest in paediatric, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry and is developing these interests further through attending courses.
Kaval aims to offer her patients a high-quality service through structured consultations, focused on listening to your concerns, thorough examinations and shared decision making before embarking on treatment.
In her free time Kaval enjoys hiking, walking her dog Archie and the company of her two ragdoll kittens Milo and Mika
Dr Gordon Lai
(Dental Surgeron, BDS University of Bristol 2021, GDC 296561)
Gordon graduated at University of Bristol, and has provided NHS and private dentistry in the Midlands and the South West during his vocational training.
He has since developed an interest in orthodontic and restorative work and plans on furthering his credentials through certified courses. He also hopes to explore post-graduate options as well as contributing to hospitals and additional training.
During examinations, he aims to build friendly, trusting relationships, providing functional and aesthetic treatment through a patient-led, thorough treatment plan.
In his spare time, Gordon enjoys a good film, playing football, and supporting his favourite team - Arsenal.
Please be reminded, that our associate dentists are self-employed, independent contractors and are personally responsible for the treatment they provide. You will be a patient of the dentist for the duration of your treatment.
Miss Tanya Hassan
Tanya has worked as a dental receptionist for over 10 years, as this is the job role she loves. She enjoys the interaction with patients and getting to know them. Tanya is always happy to help, providing you with the highest level of customer care. She will ensure that you receive a warm and personalized service during your visit at Surrey Quays Dental Practice.
In her spare time, Tanya enjoys spending time with her son, catching up with friends and taking family trips.
Tanya speaks English and Turkish.
Miss Jelena Jurgevic
(Dental Care Professional, 2011, GDC 292789)
Jelena is originally from Lithuania. She qualified in Lithuania with a bachelor degree of Public Health and Oral hygiene.
In October 2018 Jelena started formal training at Dental Nurse College of London for her dental nurse qualification which she completed successfully in in October 2020.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Jelena likes cooking and travelling.
